Altace is used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), or congestive heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack.

Do not use Altace if you are pregnant. Stop using this medicine if you are pregnant. The drug may cause injury or death of the unborn child, if you take the medication during the second or third trimester.
The drug may penetrate into the breast milk and may harm nursing baby. You should not breastfeed while Altace taking.
